Description

Along with Homer, Hesiod is one of the earliest preserved Greek poets. His Works and Days are full of memorable myths and images, such as the stories of Prometheus, Pandora, and the five ages of humankind. In this ten-week course, we will read about the first half of Works and Days. We will read and discuss together in ancient Greek, using paraphrases to learn and practice new and unfamiliar vocabulary.
